Paris offers countless opportunities for exploration and photography. Beyond the iconic Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, here are some of my favorite lesser-known spots to discover in the city.

Colonnes de Buren / Les Deux Plateaux

A creative hidden art installation near Palais Royal and the Louvre is a must-see spot to add to your itinerary. Located in between government buildings and a neighboring garden, Colonnes de Buren / Les Deux Plateaux is a must-see and amazing photo spot!

Address: Galerie de la Cour d’Honneur, 2 Rue de Montpensier, 75001 Paris, France.

Located right behind the art installation is the beautiful Jardin du Palais Royal!

Bir Hakeim bridge

The Bir Hakeim Bridge provides one of the best viewpoints of the Eiffel Tower! The bridge is far enough away yet close enough to capture the Eiffel Tower in all its glory. There is a viewing platform that protrudes into the water and makes a great spot for photos, or a proposal as I witnessed quite a few!

Galeries Lafayette Haussmann

Galeries Lafayette Haussmann has a free viewing deck on the roof. Enter the store and locate the escalators, following the signs to the viewing deck. From the roof you can see the Eiffel Tower, the neighboring Palais Garnier, and even the Sacré-Cœur all the way in Montmartre.

Square René Viviani

Located next to the iconic Shakespeare and Company, this charming square provides a peaceful retreat amid the city’s hustle and bustle. In March, many trees burst into bloom with stunning pink flowers. With Notre Dame visible in the background, it’s the perfect spot for a memorable photo or to relax with a coffee and croissant.

Rue De l’Université and Avenue de Camoëns

Both these are picturesque spots and stunning backdrops for photos. I loved the old, Parian buildings sandwiching the street with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

Rue De l’Université
The Trocadéro

The Trocadéro is one of the most photographed spots in Paris. Really what it is is a large platform over looking the Eiffel Tower. The pictures you can get from this spot with the Eiffel Tower directly behind are amazing. The area gets quite crowded so it is best to arrive early. Consider doing a photoshoot around Paris!
